
ARLINGTON, Va. – 20 May 2026 – Canada’s hotel industry posted a fourth consecutive month of performance growth, according to April 2026 data from CoStar, a leading global provider of commercial real estate information, analytics, and online property marketplaces.
April 2026 (percentage change from 2025):
• Occupancy: 63.5% (+0.6%)
• Average daily rate (ADR): CAD201.87 (+6.6%)
• Revenue per available room (RevPAR): CAD128.19 (+7.3%)
Among the provinces and territories, Newfoundland and Labrador registered the largest increases in occupancy (+12.9% to 61.3%) and RevPAR (+21.3% to CAD97.73).
Prince Edward Island posted the highest ADR lift (+14.3% to CAD179.89) but the steepest drop in occupancy (-13.8% to 38.3%).
Among the major markets, Toronto reported the largest gains in ADR (+12.8% to CAD271.43) and RevPAR (+13.0% to CAD205.27).
Montreal saw the highest occupancy increase (+5.9% to 66.4%).
